Gellux working on one client but not another

I have recently taken the gellux course with capital and have been practising my technique on various friends before launching my mobile business, however on one client I applied the system last Monday and by yesterday it was chipped and peeling off, another friend had exactly the same colour 2 weeks ago and I only removed it today to see how it fared and because it was growing off.. I just wondered if sometimes it just doesn't like some nails, I can't understand what I could of done so different to have such different results.
