Hi,
I am NOT a hairstylist professional. I wanted to see if it was possible to get rid of at least some of the red/orange in my hair; see, over a year ago for my High School graduation I dyed my hair red with permanent box dye (I know, I know, shouldn't have done the permanent dye), and so it has faded some but it is still there. I have read online that this is particularly very very difficult to get out of your hair, especially alone and with no professional knowledge. And even though I wished I could go to a salon, I can't afford it right now.
Honestly, I would be helpful for any help or advice you guys could give me. My original plan was to lighten my hair up some levels to a light brown or even blonde, but then I realised that was a bit ambitious.... if not *cough, cough* delusional. Truly, I don't know. So, right now if there was any way to at least get some of that orange/red out and you want to help me out, or if someone has experience with this (or something similar to this) and wants to share what they did in the comments then sincerely: BLESS YOU.
Some more info: from a couple of years ago, a hairstylist told me I had fine hair. My mom's hair lightens up pretty easily, and mine too (years ago, I did a test on my hair and lifted up to 3 levels with some highlighter she had bought, no ammonia).
Again, any help or advice is more than welcome and thank you very much for taking the time, truly appreciated it:)
