Hey there fellow nail lovers! I'm just trying to get some ideas as to which direction to go with my business now. I have loved nail art for many years, but haven't been able to commit to it full-time due to the fact that I havn't able to make a steady income. I would love to have it be my career that I can make a living off, but I feel like I might need a bit more education. I have my cosmetology license, but I prefer doing nails. I know hairstylists tend to make more money than nail techs, so it has me torn on which direction to go. Do you think I couldn't balance doing hair and nails? Any recommendations on brands that provide certification training or classes to sharpen my skills? I currently normally use CND retention acrylic and shellac for gel manis, but I am open to products that have less of an odor or allow me to be more efficient with my time. I live in California and I am willing to travel. Everyone around me loves the work that I do and thinks that I need to get back in the salon, but I just want to build my confidence a bit more and have it pay off. Any tips or suggestions are truly appreciated! I love to see others empowering each other!
