hi all, I'm after som desperate advice, as I'm about 4 different hairdressers in and still have made no progress.
I've always had highlights, multi tonal. So generally a bleach and two colours. My problem started when one of the colours went pink. Their answer to it was to pick the colour highlights out and bleach them, but what I ended up was a full head of highlights ( over a full head I'd had the day before). My hair was very blonde and a bit dry. Since then I've been to different hairdressers to try and sort it out and to get some colour weaved back in to break up the blonde, but nothing's worked. Even when they pre-pig the colour it's still not great. Well I've got to the stage where the bleach is almost white and the colour is patchy so feel my o lay answer is to try and cover it completely with a brown all over. But will it stick. Any advice soooooo appreciated. Thankyou

Nope, it won't work is the honest answer.

Adding an all over brown colour to patchy bleached hair will look awful and probably go green in places. It sounds like your hair is now in poor condition if it's had highlights on top of highlights.

You need to find a good colourist to sort the mess out properly. You can't keep adding more oxidising colour or bleach willy nilly otherwise your hair will start breaking off.

Research a good colourist and ask for a free colour consultation to see what they recommend. If they tell you they must do a skin patch test and offer to do some hair strand tests beforehand, they sound promising.

I've been to three reputable salons in my area and nine have been able to fix it. I've tried about 5 times now and at about £80-100 a time I just can't afford anymore. So looking for a solution myself.

Any other advice?

You hair is very porous. Its going to take both prepigging and multiple goes in short periods of time to get it to stick unfortunately... As well as the right technician.
