Hi geeks
I have very light blonde hair, but I really want white blonde. (If any of you see the hair programme on bbc3 last night it was the girl there who was the ice queen-her colour hair)
I used to get bleach in the salon years ago every 6 weeks but it was costing me £60+
Then I found Schwarzkopf live xxl in absolute platinum and it's a perfect match!(don't hate me hair geeks!) And it's now only £4 every 4 weeks.
Anyway I now want it even lighter. How do you suggest I might do this? I've seen the white colour of la riche hair dyes and hoping this may work? I use toners which take the yellow out but I want it really white now.
I can't afford salon prices and rather like doing my own hair so need an option of what to do at home?
Here's a pic

Thanks geeks x

How would you feel if someone told you your lash services were too expensive but bought some cheap lashes and asked you how to apply them ?

The professional hair stylists on here are not going to give advice on what OTC product to buy, sorry but that is not what this site is for. If cost is an issue then go to a College and have a student colour your hair.

We are a community of fellow professionals who should be showing each other some respect.

It wasn't meant to be disrespectful, to be honest I didn't expect hair professionals to be replying because of the reason you say but maybe a fellow consumer in my situation would reply.
I don't feel I'm insulting anyone as I'm not saying any geeks personal prices are expensive.
Is this not the same kind of post for someone asking what's the best skincare regime but not going to get a facial? I don't think it's insulting to professionals, everyone tries to save money I think!
I thought the consumer page would be the right place to post-sorry.

Sorry, but our Hair Geeks will not recommend any OTC product. Read through some threads about XXL and you will find out how strongly they feel.

If you wanted advice on how to get your hair in better condition our pros would help, and everything they would recommend would be products only available from hair salons....not the supermarket or chemist.
The same would apply to skincare our skin pros would recommend a professional skincare range.

Thanks I just thought maybe someone who has the same hair as me might have some advice for a fellow consumer, it didn't have to be a hair geek replying.x

I think putting anything over XXL live bleach is a recipe for melted hair!
