Ghds- will they work in USA?

Basically I asked the question in the title- will British ghds work in USA? A friend of mine has asked and I don't wanna give wrong advice.

Obviously she will need an adapter but otherwise...?

America have a different voltage. I took mine when i went to Florida and they blew up!! Had to buy a cheap pair whilst i was over there!

mark 4 and mark 5 ones should work fine as they have dual voltage.

Hi I was told that the USA adaptor is encased within the UK plug
