here we go my little luvvies lol :lol:
before i start on this one , i just want to say ,
im no way saying my nails are great,by adding these tutorials , i have a looooong way to go yet ,
but it might just give you something to look at and have a go , when the post count is low on here :green:
and someone might give me tips on better ways to improve ,which im always greatful for xxx
but from this you get the general idea .

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*prep as usual
*apply clear tips
*buff shine off clear tips (dont worry all scratches will disappear when overlay go's on)
*apply silver to tips ,apply just before the free edge, and pat and press out to the corners ,and up to the free edge then shape your smile( I pre mix fine glitterdust,with clear polymer,usually 1 pt glitter/2pts polymer have a play until you get the right mix you want)
*as quickly as is possible , apply stars to the silver tip, lightly press into product, to grip the stars in place , and so your overall overlay does not appear to be too thick,
*apply zone 2 , butt up to the smile line
*apply zone 3 , at this point i lightly brush over the whole enhancement, to seal the butt and the glitter/stars
*complete full set ..i usually tend to work one hand at a time
* buff and shape
now this is where problems sometimes occur , when you come to file and find you havent pressed the stars into zone 1 enough , and end up filing the corners off the stars , or you havent applied the overlay thick enough over the free edge , and find you are just fiiling off the glitter you have spent ages applying:lol: or the complete reverse , and you end up doing the whole set too thick (like i did :o ) and spend hours of filing trying to rectify it.
so remember to keep your silver (or chosen glitter colour) thin,press stars in place snuggly,
and overlay enough , but not too much,
*when all shaping is complete , buff to a shine and apply glitter dots to the smile line ,top coat ,+ solar oil
all done ...oooh no your not ....TAKE PAYMENT :green: now your all done ..go make a cup of tea xxx
very nice tutorial! good idea!:green: Just a thought, you know you said about being careful when finishing with your file, in case of filing the corners of the stars??..... have you tried putting a thin layer of clear acrylic over the top?
