Well done for posting a pic
I know how hard it is to take a picture of glitter nails.
I would say that unless you were going for the transparent look you could probably do with adding a little more glitter to get a denser coverage.
There are a few areas where I think you need to work on:
Apex: (should have a gentle curve from cuticle up to the apex), it looks like it is flat then suddenly get steeper toward the tip possibly causing the nail to become "tip heavy" quickly
Tips: I think from the pic they look like they could be tapered a little to stop them looking fanned. You said you didn't get on with the tips, what problems did you have with them?

If you explain where you think you have struggled perhaps we can help you improve in those areas.

thanks!...well...putting on the tips wasnt a problem, i just didnt particulary like them, maybe cause it was the first time i used pro imp..maybe cause I m used to the one i was trained with...but the problem I had was in applying the acrylic...because I glued the glitter dirfectly on the tip...the when i was applying the clear acrylic i felt it was very thick!...then i ended up with a thick tip and because I didnt wanna go thick all the way down to avoid lifting I was struggling!...a complete mess!...well at least I know for next time I will do better!...

can u explain what "looking fanned" means...sorry im not english..never heard this word before! lol

thanks for yor help:hug:

Ahhh I see! I would recommend mixing the glitter with your polymer and applying like you would do a French. This will allow you to create a crisp smile line and a more consistent coverage of glitter.
As for them looking fanned;
what i mean by this is that the tips look a little to big / wide for the nail, so as the side walls are straight the tip looks wider. Its hard to explain.

The apex shape may have caused them to look wider at the tip too.

I understand what u mean now...see I didnt think they were wide...Thanks..I will try to look out for that next time...

but thats the thing...I tried to mix the glitter with the powder but wouldnt work..maybe should have added more powder, but i wasnt getting a dense coverage.......ok I learn now....try on myself first!before making mess on client!...lol...

Thanks a lot...I will do better

The tips may not be too wide, it may be the picture angle or even the shape and placement of the apex causing them to look too wide.
I use my spoon end of my cuticle pusher to mix my glitter and powder. I use 1 scoop of glitter to 3 scoops of powder.
You are quite new to the industry and as I did you are trying to run before you can walk!
The key is practise, be confident in your work before you try too many new things.

If you are serious about improving I would recommend putting some of your work in the critique section of this site. This will give you valuable advise on what to concentrate on.

lol...I know!...I just want to try and play with everything..but If i dont try how will I ever learn?

I will post some of my work in the critique session...THANKS a lot for dedicating ur time to my questions!xxx

I must say, Angie is brilliant.. I wonder how easy it would be to do so on yourself without getting glittered everywhere else....

Try lafemmenails.com there colours and glitters are really bright and pre mixed they have pics on there

:) I do glitter tips or ever glitter art and full glitter nails depending on clients preference. I have clients who prefer gel and those who prefer acrylic. I glitter on both. before all the glittered acrylics powders and gels came out I just purchaced glitter from dollars stores, & craft stores. Embossing powder worked wonders if you want a finer glitter. I just added to my powder or gel until i had desired glitter and proceeded as normal. Now we have great gel products. My personal favorite is LCN glitter gel. It is used like a sealant or colored sealant. I do the set of nails as usual then before sealing I add the glitter gel where i want it, I even do art work and designs using colored sealants combined with glitters. Then I cure, wipe, and add my sealant, cure, and oil. I have so many different things i do with color and glitter that out of all my clients the only ones who just wear traditional nails without art are my military and hospital workers due to their job restrictions i can get $10-$50 per set extra just for the art that costs me pennies to apply and upto 10-30 minutes extra of my time. My hint is you are your own worst critic you see flaws your clients never would, if your a perfectionist like myself it will drive you batty tyring to achieve it with art. The beauty of art is no 2 nails will ever be identical, and flaws and imperfections are mostly noticed by only you. Do some practice nails and display them for your clients you will find they love even the simplest work to the most intrict work.
