Im sure i have read on other threads that this is ok even though gelish is more UV i think i have this right i dont no anything about nails etc

I want to do gelish over shellac but once im on my way with nails i may do shellac so am thinking the CND lamp is the way forward as it can be used for both products

Just seen a 2nd hand one used 4 x & in excellent condition on ebay so 1/2 tempted to bid its £80 to buy new your looking at £150 right?

I think a CND lamp is £xx plus vat on sweet squared? A least then you know it's real?

I use my CND lamp to cure artistic colour gloss until I save up for my led lamp! Never had a problem!

If you dont know anything about nails then I think you need to get some training.

Theres more to it all then just painting it on.

Where do you plan on buying your gelish/shellac? Ebay too?

Things on there can ne fake and nasty, please dont risk your health.

Thats what i will be doing??? knowing nothing about nails i need to do a basic manicure course & then go on to my gelish course

I plan on getting the stuff from sweet squared/nail harmony the proper places, i dont want any fake stuff just saw this on ebay & thought it would save some ££££ seeing as the varnish & everything else is a small fortune!!

I know nothing about gelish but I do know that to do shellac properly you need to be trained by CND. I am hoping to go on their shellac course next month and I have been told by s2 that I have to buy their kit before I can go on the course. So be careful before thinking of buying elsewhere as you won't know if its genuine and also won't be able to do the course. I know it's pricey but its worth it in the long run, expert tuition and good products.

notwithstanding the fact its not a great idea to buy electricals or professional products from ebay it doesnt sound like a very good deal.

if its used then you would have to replace the bulbs as you would have no idea how many hours are left in them so it would actually be cheaper to buy a new lamp from sweet squared and then you have a full warranty. we aren't allowed to post trade prices here but a cnd lamp is less than £150.

Totally agree, I got my CND lamp from ellisons as you get free delivery over a £50 order, lamp is fab and I use it for my gelish, I only buy from Sally's/NH/ellisons/S2 as you can't be too careful. You want to provide a great service and be covered by insurance etc. You will recoup your money no problems when your trained and offering a great service hun so try not to get put off by spending a lot to get set up xx
