Has anyone used the dye alone? I am thinking about dying some extensions with it and I'm wondering if the prepare and lock bottles will be required?

You can use without prepare and lock but may get an uneven result and will fade faster x

Prepare is for pre bleaching and yes you need the lock to prevent bleeding.

Elumen reacts with plastic so don't get it need bonds or anything.

colour girly is obviously correct although just for extensions (you're talking about dying them alone) so I'm guessing they're clip ins you won't really need to lock them as you're not gonna wash them everyday so you don't have to worry about colour running. just be careful in rain and if you do wash them!

Great thanks for your help! Im looking to dip dye some I tips so the dye would only be on the bottom....so the dye and lock should be sufficient?

So your a not a hairdresser so you can not seek professional advice, as technically you are just a consumer in these areas.

Actually colourgirly is quite correct - it is against site rules to give pro colouring advice to non hair pros.
