Hi all,

I was wondering if someone might be able to give me a little advice on my hair?

I seem to have really greasy hair and it's really annoying! I try to only wash it every second day but I pretty much need to do it every day cause it's that greasy! When I wash my hair in the morning it tends to be greasy by the afternoon :(

Any advice on shampoos or products I could use to help this?

Thanks x

Paul Mitchell tea tree shampoo and the detangler to condition with and shampoo two, use shampoo two first everytime you wash tea tree 3 time a week after the first week :) x

Hi, I would suggest Redken Oil Detox shampoo http://www.redken.co.uk/_en/_gb/products/product.aspx?catcode=AXE_HAIR^F1_Haircare^F2_Scalp_Relief&topcat=F2_Scalp_Relief&prdcode=234

Its excellent for helping to clean and remove the excess the oils on your scalp and hair. I would try for the first few times putting it on your scalp and working it in on dry hair, apply some water then work up into a lather, then rinse and shampoo again as normal. Really is an excellent product. What do you ususally use? I would follow up with maybe clear moisture conditioner from Redken also.

Thanks :) I use various things as I find my hair adapts to products. I'm currently using herbal essence. I'll give this a try though!

If your constantly changing that might be the problem, hair is same as your skin, it doesn't react well with the constant change of ph levels in the shampoos which is why it's greasy

When you wash your hair how do u do it??? 1, do you scrub or are you gentle? as the harder you are the more the glands will be stimulated and produce more oil. 2, do you use conditioner? as if you have such greasy hair I would stay away from conditioner in the short term till you have this under control, or use a spray in conditioner on mid lengths and ends. 3, use a cleansing shampoo. hth x

oh nearly forgot, do you use any dry shampoo etc for between washes? just the more you wash your hair the more you are stimulating the glands and more and more oil will be produced until you find the right 'mix' for your hair xx

I wouldn't not use conditioner, just don't go slapping it all over your roots :) but if you use the redken one suggested I assure you this will make a massive improvement.

I tend to rub it in gently. And I need conditioner but I only use it on my ends. I don't use dry shampoo but I try to only wash my hair every second day. Although lately it has been every day.

Thanks everyone, I'm goin to try the suggested shampoo, thanks.
