Since I moved from Spain back to the UK my hair constantly feels like it needs washing. I'm convinced it's the change in water. I used herbal essence, timotei, then bought Nixon cleanser 1 for fine hair. I have mousey hair with blonde highlights. I only condition the ends, I've been using treseme keratin conditioner. No mousse or product when I blow dry and it adds to the heavy greasy feeling. Any tips so I can wait at least two days between washes?

Your best bet is to get your self i to a salon and purchase some good products. I use a brand called nak which i dont think they stock in the uk.

Use salon shampoos not the naff store brought one. Unfortunately fine hair does tend to get greasy quicker... dry shampoo is also a saviour x

Try a mens shampoo as they are usually more astringent & are formulated for daily use for residue removal geared for people whom go to the gym & or have more oils to remove from their scalps. Avoid products for colored/dry hair as they have more oil promoting properties. Choose more cleansing types of shampoo.

Use hot/warmer h20 for cleansing
conditioner ends only
A spray dry shampoo may help on the 2nd day.
A dust/clay product like Schwarzkopfs "dust it" applied @ roots sucks up oils for a matt/dry lift @ the roots.
Avoid product with "shine" as silica can weigh hair down with oils.

I am the same & always washed my hair every day which I found was a chore as I then had to blow dry etc. I started using argon oil shampoo & my hair doesn't need washing for 3 days now!

This is all great, thank you very much. I will try out your advice this week! I, surprised that Argan oil has helped you go 3 days between washes, but worth a try, it's the fact it says oil that stopped me buying this before. Will let u know how it goes.
