Hi, Ive recently started using celebrity secrets spray tanning. I have a 8% and 12% and have found that when i use both it has a green colour to the spray guide so when my clients leave they have a green tan looking like the hulk!!!! As you can guess the green colour seems to get worse as the tan develops but it gives a lovely colour once it is washed off?????? Please can someone help me am i doing something wrong or is something wrong with the solution?????

Has anyone else experienced this??????

Thanks :

If there are just some areas that are going green then it is the client still has deoderant/make-up/purfume/moisturiser etc.. on the skin, if it is the whole of the body on every tan then it sounds like your solution has gone off.

This can happen if you've not kept it in a cool dark place, out of direct sunlight or had it open for more than 6 months.

The solution will still give a tan but you can't be sure of what percent now that it's gone off (the percent of DHA will get lower & lower & lower) you shouldn't continue to use it on clients.

Thanks for that the colour came out green first time i bought it and has done ever since. I have had it stored correctly which is why i found it very strange :grr: just seems a waste of money for me especially seens as ive only just started spray tanning! Oh well onto another brand i think have you any ideas on good solutions?????

Thanks again

If you use the search facility on this site you will find loads & loads of threads about all the different brands.

You will find the most talked about brands are probably: Nouvatan, LA Tan & Sianna X.

Then there will be Suntana, Fresh Indulgence, Brown Bitz, white to brown, he-she, vanit-y, sunless solutions & many many more.

I think the best thing to do is search on here for a brand name and see what is said about it. When you have decided on the names of the brands you are interested in contact them and ask for samples.

When you get the samples get a few willing models and spray them with different samples and see which of them you and your models like best.
