I have a client who I've dyed her hair for years. Base 5 and but 90% grey front t section.
We changed brands has the colour we used started not covering.

Changed to wella 8/03. This has covered great but the sun bleached the ends to a 10 on top. Client likes the lighter colour so used what colour I had in 99/0 and 8/03 mixed equal parts 6%. Colour bathed through ends. she said that the colour has not covered well. (not seen it has I put her colour on at home and left)

So basically what am saying is, should 99/0 cover 100% if I used on it's own with 6%. Or is this colour too light so it's only camouflaging grey.

i wud try 3/4's 99/0 and 1/4 88/0 and add in /3 mixtone. . . inh my experience grey coverage above an 8base isnt the best tends to look a bit transulcent. .

I use clynol 9.0+ With 9% it gives 100% White and grey coverage
