Hi
i'm not qualified in hairdressing. I just thought I would ask any of you because I really need your help!:(
I went to the hairdressers to have my hair lightened from dark brown. they said they had to use bleach to do that, they did the strand test and it failed! it went like chewing gum!
I want to get my hair as light as possible as fast as possible! any ideas on what I could use? when I could lighten it? any ways to make it healthier fast?
THANK YOU in advance!

If it went like chewing gum then theres nothing you can do really.

Although it depends what they actually used.

You need to get heaps of treatments and PROPER cuts until your hair healthy enough to go through a lightening service.

If it's gone like chewing gum, it means it's totally knackered and its a short step from just breaking off in clumps. Not a good look!

It is possible that the salon used a strong bleach mix on it and caused the chewing gum effect, but that seems a bit unlikely unless you've never applied strong chemicals to it previously. Everyone's hair is different and some can cope with more abuse a bit better than others.

As Cams says, give it a good cut and lots of treatments as it grows out.
