Can any one answer this question ......what would happen if I put a high lift tint wella 12.11 on a level 5 with double 20 vol ? would I get at least two levels of lift ?

As a hairdresser you should know the answer, especially on how many lifts you get with different peroxides

Firstly I never claimed to be a hairdresser and if you read the question I asked if 20 vol would give at least two levels of lift. I have an interest in colouring my own hair and I found this site listed below and was just curious if any others had tried this .I JUST DIDNT THINK FOR ONE MINUTE THAT THIS SITE WOULD HAVE SUCH RUDE PEOPLE LAUGHING AND SO ON OVER A SIMPLE QUESTION...I WOULD HATE TO BE AN APPRENTICE UNDER EITHER OF YOU TWO..................I HOPE YOU FIND YOUR WAY BACK TO THE PADDOCK YOU CAME FROM...Understanding the "double" developer amounts - hairbrained
When you double the developer it give more oxygen for the color to process longer. That is why if the color isn't light enough, you can leave it on longer as long as the color is moist it is working.
It also dilutes the ammonia content. So if you are using double developer and you have a low ammonia content color...you can interrupt the lift.
I love double 20 volume with our shades of Enlightenment. The lower the developer the more tone is left in the hair to deposit. You actually see tone...Love it on previously colored hair level 6-9. Favorite formula for a beige...Twilight and Daylight + double 20 volume. On virgin hair, too.
30 and 40 volume can east away tones you are counting on for deposition and give you a warm result.
Shades of Enlightenment ammonia content is 1.5%
Shade 12N from Full Spectrum Deep is 1.5% ... we use 20 Volume with Deep.

Your profile states you are a hairdresser so you might want to change that.

If you already do this and have seen a article on hair brained then why are you asking?

As a professional hairdresser I read instructions on my products to get the best results. If it says mix 2 parts lotion to 1 part colour that is what I do.

You read it on the Internet, so it must be true.....

It's actually a load of cack. Most high lifts have a 2:1 mix ratio, and adding too much peroxide will not make it lift more (keep it moist lol). What it will do is give you a nice chemical burn through over exposure and too much nascent oxygen release.

Go to a hairdresser or a college if you want cheap hair.

Oh, and please stop abusing the professionals for simply telling you the truth.

Panda I see you now say you are not a hair pro therefore this has been moved to Consumer Queries, but your profile says you are a Hair pro ;)

Please note, however, that our qualified colourists and stylists are not going to give details on colours or products to use to an enthusiastic amateur. Colouring hair with professional products should be left to the professionals.

If you want advice on retail products to help the condition of your hair or what style would suit you, this is the place to ask, but regarding using pro products we can't help and the best advice is go to a salon and get it done professionally.
You were previously given similar advice this this last month, therefore you were aware before you posted this what response you would get.

Therefore given your rudeness and attitude to our professional Hair stylists and colourists I doubt very much if this is the site for you.
