Hi everyone

I really need some help please! My hairdresser who I've used once before and the colour was fine, cut not so good. So I gave her the benefit of the doubt and had her back today for a root tint.

Well, my roots went yellow and was a totally different colour to the rest of my hair! So she then put a few brown low lights on it to try and 'even it out a bit'. This left me with a head looking like leopard print with brown spots all over the top of my head.

So then to get rid of the yellow and the brown spots, she put bleach on (9%) which got rid of a majority of the yellow on top but not the brown spots/streaks, and am left with yellow underneath.

When she was blow drying it I noticed my hair breaking off in quite large quantities in my lap and my fringe had practically melted. She cut out the worst of my fringe, but by this stage I'd had about as much as I could take. She was in tears, I was not happy and tonight am left doing research as to what the hell I do with this yellow, spotty frizzy mess that was once lovely long healthy hair?! I am SO upset, it's just awful. It was in such good condition and now at 38 feel like I'm never going to get it back to how it was.

I'm looking at kerstine shine, brazilian blow, colour correction and getting quite confused as to what to do next.

One salon wants £360 for the keratin smoothing complex. Should I ask my hair dresser to pay for this? Will her insurance cover such mistakes? I dont want to be unreasonable but cant afford to have this corrected by myself.

Any help or advice would be really appreciated.

Thank you.

oh my goodness you poor thing!
yes, her insurance should cover things like this. you need to go back and have a chat with her and her salon manager. Im sure they will only want to do everything they can to rectify the situation.
good luck hun xxxx

Yes, the hairdresser's insurance is going to sort it out. Thank you for your kind email.
