Hi guys, does anyone have experience with the Koleston perfect special mix 0/11? Lifted my hair to a caramel blonde obviously wanting to be grey. Also is 3% enough to mix it with? The girl in the shop said it was but just checking. Thanks!

Are you a hair dresser? If not I would definetly go to a salon to achieve this and be warned it is very high maintenance!

A caramel blonde isn't light enough for a toner to go grey.

0/11 if there is any yellow at all it will go green it happened to me.

Please please go to a salon many people I know with 10+ years experience struggle doing grey let alone someone with little/ no experience!

I hate that a shop such as a well known high street hair & beauty supplier give technical advice! ..... I had To butt into a convo 2 weeks ago as the manager told a girl no older than 18 to use bleach to lift black from her hair then tone it with 10.1.....Whaaaaaat! [emoji30]

I think it's terrible that Sally's sell to public. Here is a colour correction I did a few weeks ago. Client turned up in a state begging for an appointment as her sister had attempted an ombre on her and completely fried her hair. "But she had done it once before and it was fine and got the stuff from Sally's so was doing it properly"!
She showed me pics of her hair before and it was really long box dyed but condition was fine. Her sister must have used 40vol on it as I have never seen breakage like it before and then to make matters worse she attempted to cut it into a bob! [emoji24]. Luckily she was a good sport about it and willing to have it cut even shorter, so I was able to make it look OK in the end but please don't attempt to use hairdressing chemicals when you have no training. It will be more expensive in the long run to correct (if you have any hair left!)

Thanks Charlotte. I'm not sure, I wouldn't be surprised if she does it again when it grows, some people never learn!
