If you want to save money but not take risks with your hair, go to a local college who run hairdressing courses. They need models for practice, the students are fully supervised and the charges are kept low.

Hey hair geeks

I've got bleach blonde hair with dark
Brown roots and I've bought a blonde hair dye box from asda, garnier. And just wondering could I put this on my hair! What will it do to my roots?

Hi Rachel, if you use this box dye, at best you will get bright orange roots at worst you'll overlap the already bleached hair and the overdose of chemicals will cause it to snap off!
I know they seem tempting, and it all looks so easy BUT it really is a way to totally wreck your hair:sad:

Get a hairdresser to do your roots for you, if expense is the issue - try going to a local college.:)

As above ^^^^ :)

Dont Do It !!!

Go to local college or salon training night if money is tight.:D

Same advice that you would give to someone wanting to do their own gel nails/acrylics/tan etc - let someone trained do it!

I have had so many hair disasters over the years and dark to blonde is the hardest to do! I ended up paying out more to get it corrected!

xx

You could end up paying a hell of a lot more if it goes wrong. You would be back to a hairdressers to correct it.
