Hiya everyone!I aren't a hairdresser so just a quick question you all might be able to answer for me...
Can you do a hair extension course even if you aren't a hair dresser?

Thank you
Xxx

Yes but not advised and most people would like someone who can preform all services (just saying but there is alot out there who only do them)

Yes you can which I think is wrong. You need the knowledge of hairdressing to be able to finish the extensions. How do you expect to be able to cut hair extensions if you can't cut hair with out extensions??

I think it's an ok idea if people are just wanting them for thickness to their hair. They might have a hairdresser that they attend regular and love but they don't offer hair extensions so maybe someone who can fit them would come in handy at this point.

I am in beauty not in hairdressing and i did a course. I didnt stop at one, ive now done 1 course and 3 top up courses so im learning as much as i can. ive also done a separate techniques course.
I have no desire to be a hairdresser, but i now run a very successful hair extension business and have now come out of beauty all together.
Dont think you can do a one day course and just because they give you a certificate be ready to go....you should be prepared to pay out for lots of courses to make sure you have as much knowledge as possible, then keep topping that up to be able to provide a full, professional, excellent service. x
