Hair extension deposits

Hi. I'm just getting back into doing extensions (mobile) after a few years out due to other work commitments. I was wondering what other people do regarding payment. Do you charge full price at consultation or a small deposit? I don't want to have to be out of pocket ordering hair etc but also don't want clients knowing how much add on for fitting tia

Hello, I would say the ‘deposit’ is all hair (before ordered) and half of what you will charge on the day for fitting. So for example say the hair is £200 and you charge £100 for fitting I would charge £250 non refundable deposit and £50 on the day after fitting. Because even if they don’t arrive on the date you still get £50 that is non refundable. Hope this helps x
