Hey guys. Ok so I know that there are already loads of threads about hair extension courses and I have been reading through loads for the last 2 days :/

I think I am going to do the Studio58 pre bonded course and micro ring course (was planning on doing the nano course but I think I might find it too hard to start with )

I am a complete beginner and I know people have said great stuff about certain courses but I am still worried. Are they actually relatively easy to learn, providing you practice after? and will I fell confident cutting the hair and blending it without being a hairdresser or will I really struggle?

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks :)

I would avoid them there nothing but trouble read the thread how long x

Do you mean avoid studio 58 or avoid doing hair extensions? And is the thread just called 'how long'?

Thanks

I was already a hairdresser when I went on an extensions course for bonded and micro ring, the other lady on the course wasn't a hairdresser at all and had no experience with hair at all and she struggled, I'd really recomend you look into the trainers in detail and get recommendations, I'd already learned how to do extensions myself before the course I literally went for a certificate & to learn some tips, I found it easy but they diddnt show cutting in my course she said you need to send them off to a hairdresser, which is a bit daft because I was a hairdresser and she just assumed I would already know how to cut them, the other lady just looked bemused the whole time I really don't think she could have left the centre that day and done an application of hair tbh, all the health and saftey was completely new to her, (although it wouldn't be to you as you already cover sterilisation etc in beauty) and sectioning hair was a real struggle for her, so definatley find out exactly what's included in the course and what extra help they give u after the course if you need it, and if possible buy some rubbish hair and practice on a dolls head every day after your course so that dealing with hair becomes more natural to you

Sorry avoid 58 :) x
