Hi Geeks, I have done hair up for many years and not really ever had to deal with hair extensions. I have one girl who is getting married in August and wants her hair in big barrel curls with bits of soft curl hanging loose (i hope ive explained that ok), but she wants hair extensions put in first. As I am not a hair extensionist she will have this done else where. What I'm worried about is whther this hair up is achievable with hair extensions in? Will the grips get caught on the bonds? Does the natural hair stick up from the extensions? It seems to me like it would be hard to hide the bonds when your pulling the hair back off the face. Please, any help is very much appreciated.

I did extensions for a girl 2 weeks ago before her prom and she had a hair up the next day, looked fab and couldn't see any bonds, if they are fitted correctly with a little hair left at borders so you can mask bonds should be fine, and if bonds fine enough should be no issue with catching them x

Thank you for your reply, this puts my mind and rest a lot! Extensions are so popular now I'm thinking I should learn more about them.

Just be aware that if they wear their hair up too tight in the first few weeks they may experience tensions spots which are caused by the hair pulling (especially if they wear a headband). It certainly is big business, if you're thinking about it - do it!!!! Great return on your investment into training. I've never looked back!

I'm learning through your tips.. : )

Hi steph! i do a lot of hair extensions for brides (big business) as they look natural and when applying them, ensure to leave the gap around the hairline and perhaps dont go too high on the head so you can do half up do's etc. The natural hair should blend in with the extensions not stick up at all. xx
