Hi everyone.
I have a bit of a head scratcher. It’s completely baffled me. Yesterday I completed a fuller head of nano ring extensions on as you can see a thick blunt cut bob. As you can see from the photos the after photo blended very nicely. I used 200grams to complete this look.
So today she has messaged me saying they don’t blend, and the third photo is what she sent me, I’m mortified as to how they can look like this. After one wash. She also says that she has had several people state that the colour doesn’t match, but as you can see from the photos it matches well. She has said the fitting is fine it’s the hair she has an issue with. I’m now at a lose as to what to do from here. Can someone please advice? Thank you x

Hey! The colour to me from the photos seems a perfect match; I think it would be difficult to match another colour with her hair!! From the two photos attached (I can’t see the others) the one she sent looks as though there hair missing on the right side and they look as though she hasn’t brushed them. Do you think there is a possibility she could have tried to dye her hair and it’s gone wrong or not taken it just does t look in good condition from the photo she has sent it looks to me like she’s done somthing to them!

What supplier do you use? Are they 1g strands plus the tip? Asking this as based on the photo she has sent I would put another row in on the top so maybe you could just buy 1 pack? Or you could space out the last top layer and do it higher?

I would get her back in to see you so you can ***** the hair and colour match her again - from that hopefully you will be able to prove that it is the right colour and like I said above I can’t imagine another colour close to that anyway! Is it a 6?

Somthing isn’t right here as the picture you took the hair looks lovely

Try not to worry you will get it resolved, she is probably just trying it on - has she asked for a refund? Xxx

Hi, thanks for the response.

Yea I was actually pretty please with the outcome concidering she had such a thick blunt bob.

I used 1 gram full strands as knew her hair was so thick. She was a hairdresser herself so knew she would be a little funny, but even when finished her hair looked lovely, but even then she didn’t seem overly joyed about it. I asked her if their was anything she wasn’t happy with or if she would like to change anything as I do everyone, and she said no she liked it. I was just completely baffled when she sent me that picture only after one day. I had said it looks as though a few top layers had been taken out.
She also said that a girl at her salon fits them, and I did question why she wouldn’t go to her, she said she wasn’t very good. Seemed odd. The shade was a 4 and at the consultation I asked her to also look in the mirror to see if she was happy with the colour and see said, “well I can’t see the strand so that must be good”

I have suggested adding more in her hair but to be honest they were quite high as it was to make sure the blend was as natural as possible. She said she doesn’t think it would make any difference. And my photos were taken with the flash, so even more possible sins to be shown and they still look blended.

She is now asking for a full refund. She has said that my fitting wasn’t a problem, it’s the hair. But I know if I go to the hair company with my photos and then hers I’m going to look a bloody idiot.

So now I face the battle of refund for Hair or not.

Xx

I wouldn’t give her a refund, the problem is if her hair is dyed she should now as a hairdresser that every time you wash your hair it will fade.

I had number 4 extensions and my hair was always lighter but I just kept dying it, a 6 would have been to light (I don’t believe there is a 5) mixing colours probably wouldn’t have worked either as she just had one block colour.

Did you colour match her and then order the hair? If you believe that the hair matched then i would stand your ground and not give a refund. People will just try it on to get free things and the thing is you will lose out on so much money as the hair I so expensive.

Did the hair match the colour wheel when it arrive? As sometimes hair colours can differ when they get to us.

What you could do is say that you would need to see her to ***** the hair, and if you do offer her a refund then say you will have to take all the hair out, if you have this colour hair maybe you could use it in your own?!

in the photo she sent it dosnt look like shes even made a effort to straighten it or style it or even brush it!

She’s definitely done something to them as even the poorest hair wouldn’t look like that in one day if she hasn’t done anything to them.
How good is your supplier?

I would tell her that you will send some of her hair to be tested and I bet she’ll start spilling with what she’s done.

I wouldn’t refund it. If anything I would add more hair or take some and reposition it, but after a brush and straighten the hair probably looks a million times better.
Colour is fine too.

I think she’s just chancing it unfortunately. It’s all about being confident in your work and product when dealing with customers like this!! Good luck.

She shouldn’t be washing her hair the next day... normally clients are advised to wait 48 hours. So she’s not followed aftercare properly surely? If you used 200 strands that should not be looking like that! Tell her you will see her, count all the strands in her hair because it looks like loads are missing! Then style it and see how they are. Let us know how you get on!

Hi, the colour match looks ok to me. You need to see her to have a good look, lighting angles can make such a difference. It doesn't looked brushed or blowdried which would make a big difference. As you can see the individual strands. The issues can be on thick hair and 1gram strands that you get separation so correct styling is paramount.
But what I can see is the cut to blend it in needs to be corrected. You can still see the line of her hair. So make her an apptmemt asap and check the extension colour, give those ends a really good point cut/slicing or razor cut (whichever method you prefer to blend with)
I'd remove at least the top row to feather that more as well. And you may need took at layering those extensions more.
Make her an appointment to see her asap explain to her that blunt bobs are the most difficult to lengthen with extensions and she will need to work at her aftercare/styling to maintain the blended look. Check the colour and if it has to be dyed or some extensions dyed then offer her that service. Blowdry it yourself and if it looks ok then take some more photos, show her in the mirror.
Hopefully you should be able to sort it x

I would thin out the ends of her own hair and razor some texture through the mid lengths of the extensions and it will look just fine x Colour match looks ok can’t see any issue there x
