Hi guys, needing a bit of help!
I was wondering how much hair you need to just add thickness the hair is double drawn from routes, do you just need 100 strands to add thickness and then if your adding thickness and length it will be more 150 strands or more depending on the hair type? This will be in the nano method.
If they wanted a weave how many grams would they need again just for thickness or thickness and length?
I'm new to all this and trying to get my head around grams and strands.
This is going to be my first client also! Xx

Hey :)

For just thickness, the general is 100g so if the strands are 1g each then yes it would be 100 strands,
then for length and thickness I always aim to use 180-200g as unless the client has quite thin hair, 150g isn't always enough xx

hope this helps xx

Thanks for replying! It says the hair is double drawn and only weigh 0.6 grams but her hair is quite fine also will 100 be enough just for thickness? Xx

It really does depend on just how fine her hair is, I've never used any less than 0.8g and have used 100 for thickness on fine hair and its worked well, I would probably suggest getting 120 strands just to be safe, you might not need to use them all but its better to have more than too little xx

this is the amount i use when using 0.8-1g double drawn strands -
if its just for overall thickness and im cutting the extensions to the same length as the clients hair 75g or 100g
then for full heads (thickness and length)-
120/125 strands for very thin hair
140/150 for thin- average head
175/180 strands for thicker hair
200 strands for thick hair,

i always say to the client the amount i have said will match the thickness of your natural hair so if you like it extra thick have a packet extra as some clients prefer another pack if it can be fitted in, i would say always over estimate then under estimate how many.

Yes it will depend on her natural thickness.

0.6 is prettty light and may need quite a few. 0.7 is the lightest I will go and that’s in shorter lengths.

Xx
