hi everyone .....
im a fully qualified hairdresser and eye lash tecnician but now would be interested in learning hair extensions what coures are recommended and do i choose micro-rings or pre bonded which is more popular??

also is anybody intersted in being a model just have to pay for the hair in the essex area?

hiya the bonds are the most popular i think but the micro rings are fastly becoming popular and has good selling point as in no heat no glue etc and they are easy to top up but they are not suitable on greasy hair etc so i would do a course that offers both i trained with belle hair extensions and learned bonds and rings so i can offer different ones as one method doesnt suit all xx

Hiya,
Pre-Bonded hair is suitable for 99.9%of girls, it suits thick, thin, curly, straight and afro caribbean hair. It is easier for you to learn and you can actually charge more for instalation, micro rings are not that good, they are in the fact that you do not use ant heat towards the hair but they really do not last very long at all, they slide out of you hair (having them myself and friends having them too). Alot of salons now either half their prices OR offer micro rings but glue them too, ust to stop them sliding out of the hair.
Hope thins is of interest for you.

My daughter has been pestering me for these for ages! She uses the clip in ones that I think look horrible, they have gone really coarse, not sure if its because they were cheap or if the same would happen with bonded ones? Might be interested in letting her be a guinea pig if I don't need a mortgage for the hair lol, were in basildon, Essex. Can you give me an idea of costs involved for hair and maintenance etc?

Thanks :) x

sorry, but i dont agree that micro links are not very good.
ive been wearing them for 11 years and i never have any fall or slide out.
i go 12 weeks between maintenance sessions.
i agree that they are maybe not suitable for some hair types, especially greasy.
if they are put in correctly by a good technician with the correct type of links then they are fab.

I trained with belle hair extensions, learnt the bonded and the micro rings (bonded is more popular with my clients) was a really informative and thorough course esp the theory bits, for models i put an ad on gumtree xx:Love:

the micro links slide out the hair when they are not fitted properly iv not long trained in them and did about 15 sets now and nobodys has slid out and i would never use bonds on someone with fine hair i think everyone is different and where you live etc i definately wouldnt just offer one method xx

You know...all of the methods have their strengths and weaknesses. And all of them, except in my view the weave method, can be fitted and removed safely to give a good result with minimal or no hair damage.
I have noticed that clients 'like' what you tell them to like. If you describe your favourite fitting method with passion then they too will most likely begin to see it as the best thing.
I train in 4 methods plus micro weft and I always recommend a glue in method plus a non-glue. You will always get clients who are not suitable for one or the other and need to be able to offer an alternative.

And btw I can offer hair extension training for you. Habia qualification and training in your home or salon. I could provide your model too.
Call me if you're interested. Phone number is on my site.

Hi there, Bonita Hair offer great training courses and we use Ultrasonic Cold Fusion using our branded premium quality hair extensions that are prebonded with Italian keratin, the bonds are very precise, neat and petite, this is the future! not many people out there using this method and we also offer micro rings on the same course, please take a look out our site for further info or email me to discuss further, you wont be disappointed, we have a 100% pass rate, ongoing support for life, discounted prices on all of our products and generated leads for your area. Ask any of our ladies who have already qualified and joined our fast growing team of professional hair extensionists. x

Hello Bonita Hair. I just wanted to touch base so it doesn't look like a fight between us on training enquiries. :)
I was also interested to ask what is the benefit of cold fusion? I can see there is no heat at the time of fitting and that's good but if I've understood correctly there is still chemical removal and of course there is a chemical substance bonding the hair. I'd appreciate your knowledge in clarifying this for me.
