Hi I've tried browsing through but can't find anything.

I wondered if anyone could help me - when I was pregnant with my twins my hair started to fall out/malt which I put down to my hormones and changes within pregnancy - there 1 year old now and it's still happening its constantly falling out especially in the shower I get loads.

My hair is naturally very thick and feels quite dry/frizzy especially if left to dry natural.

My question is is there anything to help/prevent the hair loss or is this just something I'm going to have to grim and bear, also can anyone reccomend a goo straightening product to get rid of the frizz

Thanks

we naturally shed hair and when we are pregnant this can be worse. also for some time afterwards as our body is still in baby mode!!

when you say you are losing hair, do you mean clumps of it or just that when you wash it theres lots in the plughole??

i have very thick hair with a natural wave and i too lose lots every time i wash it i have to remove hair from the plughole a few times and then after i have blowdried there is hair on the floor. for me this is natural, i not only have thick hair but lots of it so will lose more than someone with fine hair or someone with just less hair.

hth...if you are worried at all go see your doctor

Its normal to shed up to 100 hairs a day. If your hair is naturally curly, you dont tend to just lose them throughout the day, they get stuck in the rest of your hair and come out when you brush or wash it. If you wash it every couple of days you can notice a few hundred hairs come out! Dont worry, its normal!
Hormones can take up to two years to settle after a baby (been there - twice!)
so, as has been said, you may still be in baby mode.
If your hair is noticably thinning, there is a product that Redken make called "hair advance". The main ingredient is Aminexyl, which stimulates the follicle in to active hair growth. In english, it basically wakes it up and kicks it up the arse to start growing again!
For smoothing, I would reccomend Joico Rescue Treatment, Its amazing! I used it on my extensions and it kept them smooth for days :)
Long reply, but hope it helps!

There could be a number of mitigating factors here. Diet, hormones, general health or medication...
Are you or have you been dieting? Have you had your thyroid checked? Are you on any medication or have you been over the last 12 months? Have you changed your contraception?
Perhaps have a read of this, you may find some answers...
