Professional haircare brand, Fudge, was the sole hair sponsor at this year’s National Wedding Show, produced by fashion consultant and TV executive, Jane Galpin. With exhibitions in London, Birmingham and Manchester, Fudge’s mission was to ensure the backstage catwalk team was fully equipped to deliver show stopping, on trend hairstyles for the prestigious event.

Led by Cinta Miller, celebrity hairdresser and member of the Fudge Artistic Team, this season’s bridal hair team also included Fudge salon stylists - Natalie Allen (Harvey Luke salon, Derby), Aaron Best (AB Hairdressing, Derbyshire) and Nikki Galimore (Shades, Stoke on Trent), and were tasked with creating a range of looks for the show’s catwalk feature. From Mother of the Bride, City Bride and Masquerade, to Great Gatsby, Circus and English County Garden, the Fudge range complimented the bold themes that were featured throughout the catwalk.

The City Bride theme included a deconstructed top knot giving a cool edge to the dress and overall look. By contrast, the Beach Bride collection stayed on trend for spring/summer, encompassing waterfall plaits and braiding into an elegant simple fashion. For the Great Gatsby look, the team combined height and big barrel curls with lots of braids and weaving to showcase the headband accessories and jewels in the hair.

Cinta Miller explained, "It was important to create a hairstyle that reinforced the dress and pulled the theme together. For example, vintage waves for a beach wedding wouldn’t work you have to think about all the elements not only for a catwalk but for the audience looking to be inspired for their big day. It was important that we created hairstyles that enhanced the beauty of the dress. Bridal hair is all about styles that complement."

Fudge Creative Director, John Vial commented, "Historically, we at Fudge love to collaborate with influencers and tastemakers around the world, so working alongside the legend that is Jane Galpin fits perfectly with this aesthetic."

Until then...geek on!
