Hi guys am a beauty geek sorry to crash ur page
I have blonde highlighted hair, used to dye it dark and i really miss the shine!
I have heard about hair glossing where its the same as dye but colourless, is this effective to add some shine/ worth the money???
Is it the sort of thing i could buy from the wholesalers and do myself or would it have to be done professionally?
And also will it harm my hair? Its obviously on the dryer side due to highlights
Thanks hair geeks! x

The best one I have found is Redken crystal clear. It really does make blonde hair glossy and shiny. It is pro use only and is not sold to the public. It will not damage your hair and the effect lasts about 4-6 weeks. Redken.co.uk Have a salon locator.

This sounds fab, think I will tell my hair dresser to get some my hairs looking abit dull :(

Your other option if you don't want to go down the glossing route is to try a descent shampoo and conditioner. You could try the new 'Dumb Blonde' from Tigi's Bed Head Colour Combat range. It's designed for highlighted or bleached hair, it locks in the colour and repairs the hair, smoothes, adds SHINE etc... They do shampoo, conditioner and treatment for more info either visit behead.com or my facebook page as I've added all the products today along with rrp prices.

You could always try goldwell clear or richess ranges I sometimes add these with the tints aswell.

Try discolour gelee in clear Its fantastic it won't damage ur hair and u can buy from sallys or ultimate xx

Clear glossing is great, on blondes it really brightens them too :) but get it done by a professional as even tho it'd clear it's still a semi :)

Hi Everyone! I'm a long time Salon Geek lurker but new to posting :)
I too am really interested in the different glossings but have been reluctant to use the clear Loreal One as I currently have a toner on my hair and was always taught that using the clear gelee(sp?) would lift the toner out.. Am I wrong in thinking this?
Thanks :) xxx

I was under the impression it can make hair half a shade lighter but I'm not totally sure about removing ur toner I can't see how it would but someone more experienced will prob know x

Yes it can, I'm a warm ash blonde and I did use a clear glosser and it turned out with small brassy tones hence the fact I mix the glosser with another colour semi.

I was taught that dia colour clear lifts half a shade too...Matrix do a glossing treatment, it's basically a temporary or true semi (u don't mix with developer) they do different tones but also do a clear, this shouldnt lift any toners out but will give it a nice shine :)

hey geeks, where can u get this gloss, ive wanted to use it for ages, do u mix with a colour touch peroxide or does it come with some or something, im really not clued up about this, and do you appy like a semi or demi?

RIchesse clear is a semi and used with the semi developer. You can get this at sallys or capital or other suppliers. They do a goldwell clear aswell.
