Hello, i am currently studying but didn't really feel my question was right to post in the hair geek forum, as it's not really to do with anything professional.

I have fine, dark blonde hair, that has always grown at the usual rate and i have kept long most of my life. 6 years ago at the age of 16, i had a slight dying accident (as in hair turned white, never use a shop-bought pre-lightener guys!) and due to the condition my hair was left in, i had it all chopped off.

I have successfully grown out all the bleach, rarely use heated apppliances, deep condition my hair once a week, and only have high lift tint colour on my hair. HOWEVER, it just doesn't seem to want to grow like it did! 6 years later, and it's shoulder length. I know stress can affect growth rate, and i did have some stressful years at uni, and have been unwell, but i have now finished. I also know diet affects growth, but i wouldnt say i have a particularly unhealthy diet.

My hair is currently shoulder length, and i would love to have the long hair i used to have. I know there is no miracle cure you can buy, but i just wondered if anyone had any advice? I would love to figure out the problem, it's driving me insane!

do you get regular trims to take the very ends off even just like 1/4 inch? every month or so, just something to keep it fresh, also try conditioning treatment and more water :) as in drink more water x

Yeah, i have regular trims, every 4-6 weeks, i just don't understand what the problem with my hair is, never used to be like this!

hi, i had the same problem and vitamins worked wonders for me. Try omega 3 and biotin. Also massaging your scalp to stimulate blood flow to the folicles will help.

Good luck! x

Thank you, i will give these a go! x
