Hello , not an hairdresser myself , but have a sister studying for 2nd , enable to find more info , i would hope that this place can be a good start!!
i want to find books about technics , trends and modern cuts and well known hairdresser stylist , some material to study or some sort of hairdressing bible if such thing exist ? something to widen the school scope , any ideas ??

any hairdresser reference , 'createur' that stand out? sort of the 'guru' of modern hairdressing , but also 50's to 80's (if possible)
i am sorry but i do not know anything about this discipline which is hairdressing and when using google for hairdressing i can only find magazine stuff like ELLE/fashion stuff while i am after books, names, technics, references material , a bit like if you were looking for photography forum ..but i guess hairdressing is far more popular/fashion/magazine than photography? hope i am making sense ..all in all im in need of proper bible/material technics stuffs ..no magazine adds or how to get you hair shinny with loreal etc if you get the picture
thank you

i would like to have as much info as possible or at least guidance which will help to expand my search in the domain

Start googling pro brand names like: Schwarkopf ,Redken, TIGI, CHI/Farouk, L'Oreal professional, Joico, Sabastian, Wella, Goldwell, KMS, Advanced Group(AG), John Paul Mitchell, Matrix, Vidal Sasson, Aveda etc. with the word: hairstyle,trends,2014 collection etc.

The last 10 tears or so, most educational materials are produced by brands, usually labeled by "collection" or series by season + year or some kitchy brand lingo like...eg: "The street rocker" by TIGI's Anthony Moscolo. And are on disks or dvds in a fancy plastic book like a movie. These are available on the home site of the brand but you need certification as a qualified stylist to register on these sites & view theese which takes a day or few for them to backcheck b4 they validate you.

Ask her hair teachers or school owners about getting help accessing this material because you wanna get her a awesome gift or something. They should help you out or may have a school assigned validation # to get this stuff!

May I ask why?

If you're sister is the student, presumably this is something she'll enjoy doing for herself?
