Hi,
Has anyone got some advice, I completed two years training as a school leaver, I was cutting hair by the time I left but stupidly never completed my nvq! I'm now 38 and would love to get back into training!! Am I too old??

Never too old! Never never never! My advice would be to do a beginner's cutting course, they have them at the local wholesalers, just to get a taster and see if you really wanna get back into it.

Then get your qualification, and get a job in a salon.

Good luck!

Aww thank you so much for replying!!! That's given me a little more confidence to give it a go!!! Xx

I’m 40 and like you left hairdressing college at 18 and then went on to other things. I went back 2 years ago and it’s been fantastic! Go for it!

Whilst I was back at college I got a job in a salon as a receptionist which really helped observing the stylists and understanding the new colouring techniques etc. X

Aww thanks!!! I'm hoping someone is going to give me an oppotunity!!! Well done you!! xx
