Help!!! The title says it all really. My hair is tinted blonde (don't think it's bleach). I trim it regular and have been using the osmo treatment on it however it still looks like straw if I don't blow dry it. Is there any other way of getting it in good condition other than dying it darker? I want to try and stop using so much heat (I use ghd heat protector) but I can't go out looking like this.
Any help would be much appreciated x

what shampoo and conditioner you using?

get redken extreme shampoo with all soft.conditioner! pricey but will fix your hair. fantastic ingredients

You could always go for Brazilian straightening (12 week blow dry) we use kerastraight and the condition afterwards is fantastic

I used to bleach my hair like there was no tomorrow, colour it crazy colours and bleach back over them, the worst was dark blue I think I bleached over that 2 maybe 3 times in one day!!!
My hair was like matted straw!
I then dyed my hair Chocolate brown (but as you don't want to do that then skip that part!)
I now wash my hair as little as possible as I used to wash it every other day, and I use Aussie miracle moist shampoo and conditioner, I've never looked back and I swear by it!
I now wash my hair a couple times a week, 10p size ambling of shampoo... And very naughty as of the expence but at least a handful of conditioner! I don't straighten my hair unless I have to, especially not at the roots!!
My hair is now on the mend and always looks and feels soft and shiny. :)

Hope it helps x

Treat yourself to a few conditioning treatments at your salon. If not, get yourself a good conditioner treatment to use at home. Paul Mitchell Hair Repair Treatment is the best I've found and I've tried lots of different kinds but always end up back with this one. You could also try some products to use when you dry your hair it will help smooth down some of those tatty ends. Tigi Bed Head Superficial works really well and feels lovely in your hair.
Colouring it darker isn't going to bring it back to perfect condition, although a lot of colours do have conditioning agents in them, but it does give the illusion of healthy hair. When I was blonde it lacked shine and did look like straw even though it didn't actually feel as bad as it looked. If that's the case don't be too discouraged. A couple of trims and some good products should see any dry ends gone. :)

Welcome to HCulture

Maybe the Yuko that you are thinking of?

Brazilian would be fine, as it it conditioning and de-frizzing. It would also mean you would be straightening it less, so the hair gets a break.

I'm afraid the only cure for badly damaged hair is cutting.
Moroccan oil products are great, although, be careful as overuse on blondes can lead to slight staining.
Lay off the heat, regular cuts and conditioning treatments and making sure only the re-growth is being coloured each time. :)

I use all different. I do buy professional producta but i never really stick to the same one and i must admit i dont always use them everytime.
Think its a nip down to salon supplies after work.

Oh this sounds amazing and just what i need. I have seen these sort of treatments around but as craig said i was worried it would kill my hair seeing as its coloured as well, but if it conditions and straightens it, sounds like you cant go wrong.

Does anyone on here do the brazillian treatment?
I live in the essex/london area.

Thanks for all your replies and help so far.

We do the Brazilian straightening and have used it on really bad condition hair and it comes out feeling and looking amazing, with us it starts at £100 but where you are could be a lot more :( check kereastraigts website for your local salon, we have clients from London who say we are at least half what they would pay so make sure you shop around

Just checked the local salon n its from £99. I will call them when i have a sec.

Does it keep you hair straight even after you wash it? will i need to blowdry it?

Does it look like its in great condition even after you have washed it, as hair always looks good once you have had it done in a salon so was just wondering what results you get once you are left on your own with it at home.

Sorry for all the questions.

My hair is dry. I use oil for my hair but it is not effectual for me. I want a great suggestion for my hair.

Hii my name is cassandra and im a professional & i would use biolage condioning balm to help strengthen the hair, i def wouldnt color your hair for a while.

Just a quick note, dying your hair dark will not improve the condition because the bad condition will still be there underneath. I would suggest you think about having some length taken off, also go back to your salon.. ask them about the condition, if they are using bleach, see if you could go for an alternative, maby some hi/low lights more natural and grow and cut out the damage. If you have been using straightners, make sure they are not tugging or pulling the hair, make sure you use heat protection (salon products) on the hair before blowdrying or using any heat. In fact I would lay off the heat at the mo, go and have a chat with your hairdresser and see if they can recomed a treatment plan for you xx

I use ghd hear protector and my hair is short as I'm always trimming it to keep it healthy (I'm trying to grow it).

I want to lay off the heat but like I said before I can't go out with my hair natural as it looks awful. It doesn't look bad when it's blowdryed but I no it's catch 22.

As for treatments my hairdresser doesn't really offer these. She's mobile and gets her stock from the trade shop (in which case I could go and purchase it, I'm a beauty therapist and have the card) x
