Hi All, just been playing on hang geek and came across two words that I havent come across. Can anyone tell me what is
A) Bed Epethilium
B) Onychodermal Band

Thanks
D.x

Hi Jaydee, not sure about the first one, but I was taught (and as I have found out with so many things, that it doesn't mean what I was taught was right!!) that the onychodermal band is your smile line!! When you look at it there is a very faint greyish line, and that's your onychodermalwatsit!!

Hiya David,
The first one is your nail bed (i think) and the second is your smile line, when your nail actually leaves your nail bed!!

Onycha means nail and dermal means skin, its where the nail leaves its conection to the skin!!!

if im wrong on the first, let us know!!!

Hey there....
I'm with these guys too.... Bed Epithelium is skin on the nail bed and the onychodermal band is the greyish band just under your natural smile line.....

Bed Epythelium is the very thin layer of skin that grows up the nail BED but under the nail PLATE!
