I’m currently learning hard gel at College where they use calgel, but practicing at home I’ve tried nsi which I couldn’t get on with and now ink jellypro but I’m still absolutely rubbish.

I struggle to smooth out the jellypro but I’m getting there. Practiced a set on myself and two pinged clean off the next day. This happened to a set I previously did with the nsi stuff.

Can anyone tell me where I’m going wrong? I’ve looked at the ink training videos but they just go straight into building so maybe it’s something to do with my prep?

Could be a number of things.
Do you have a photo of the nails before they came off?

Wrong size tips could have been used.
Or
Prep not thorough enough.

Thing is every system has different methods of doing things/products.
You’d be better off finishing your course and perfecting your work with those products and then changing brands if need be.
Purely because if it is something you are doing wrong you are wasting money buying more products when you might not need to. x

your best to practice with the products you train with. Im trained in both Calgel & CND Brisa (Hard Gel) & the two are not the same.

Calgel & IZ Gel need hardly any filing & are both beautifully self levelling. They are more flexible (they are actually soak off gels-not hard gels) & ive found extensions with them are a smidge thinner than hard gels. Hard gels dont run but both Calgel & IZ can run if applied too thickly in one go.

Dont make life difficult using the training for one product to use another as they are so different xx
