I made mine back in less than 4 wks. Hd and lashes is now the only service I offer.

Hi, I'm not sure how much this is really going to help you but here's my view on HD Brows.

I would have absolutely loved to have been trained by them as I've been trained by other high end brands in other areas such as nails and lashes but what I have found is that beauticians or so called therapists in my area are using the brand name even if they haven't been trained by HD.
Not only this but the prices for they're 'HD' brows are sometime even under £10 this speaks for it's elf and usually means they aren't HD trained but customers don't know this because of course if the salon or therapist is promoting it as HD that's what they assume they are having. They come out of there most of the time usually with a tint, wax and often nothing else. The reason I know this is because a lot of my brow clients ask if I do HD brows because X salon or X therapist does but they messed the up (insert a million other reasons here) I often find myself educating these clients and advising them which two salons in the area are officially HD trained, I then continue to offer my brow service where I follow a 5 step structure to achieve a gorgeous shape brow.
So to cut a long story short I think that it would be worth it if there weren't so many therapists saying they offer it when they don't. I perfected my brow waxing and styling, use the best hot wax and tint - in my opinion - that is around and now offer my own service that is similar. I DO NOT PROMOTE IT AS HD AS THIS IS UNFAIR ON BOTH THE CLIENT AND THE BRAND. So not only have I saved money by not going on the course I have made money from dodgy therapists.

Hope you found is helpful

X

I trained last week and have 8 booked on this week more expect, I thought why bother, but I'm glad I did as once I mentioned hd brows I was inundated with messages. I live in a very small town and have a studio by my house I'm not in a big salon and am busy with this!

I had a clientele but none had a clue what hd was I advertised coming soon as I had to wait 6 months to get on a course so clients were educated Slightly of the treatment. It was such a secret back then so they where excited to have it first I started taking bookings for the wk after I done my training which was a risk because as I found out not everyone passes on te day. I was lucky and did. You get so much business from te salon finder. Don't worry about salons that offer fake hd they can be reported its false advertising. And to be honest people going to salons claiming they do hd and charge £10 you will never get these clients they tend to be deal chasers. Once they have had the real deal there's no going back. I now do between 6-10 a day everyday and love it :)

wow that is brilliant, iv only been at my salon since December but the clients that i have seem to love eyebrow treatments.
Did you feel confident after the training to offer it to clients straight away

I'm thinking the same!!! I've almost cleared my credit card so loathed to put more on it but the more I read about HD Brows the more I want to do it and think it will be worth it!! I also agree, the big name will attract more people to you, and will set you apart from all the others. That's what I'm hoping anyway as I have a home salon in the middle of a busy town with LOTS of cheap salons which claim HD Brows, but guess what - aren't on the salon finder!!!

Ladies honestly, you won't regret it, do it! I've been in beauty for 10 years & thought why bother I already do waxing & tinting, hd brows is so massive in the cities, people are slowly recognising here in my town what it is as they've seen it on my fb page and have done searches etc! You really won't look back xx

Just out if interest how much is this course as I am looking to do this course as well :)

if you go on hdbrows.com all the training details are on there x

I looked at doing HD but so many in my area are doing it and I wanted a bit more exclusivity so didn't choose it. I have since taken on a different brow brand and in 4 weeks got more than my costs back and it was less than half the HD cost of getting it in. Also we weren't fussed on threading part and we have an exclusive tool that we use which is fab for creating the perfect brow. I prefer to be a trend setter in my town than a follower of all other salons so this was my choosing of why I didn't take on HD. xxx

Hd brow in the brow industry is like shellac in the nail industry, everyone has heard of it and asks for it by name, it's a well branded top the range brow treatment, ask yourself how many people ask for shellac blue sky (the fake shellac spin off), no one I hear you say. Each to their own and everyone has an opinion, but you have to agree hd is top of the brow industry!

my biggest concern is struggling to pay the course fees off.

I wonder if anyone has not made their money back

I absolutely agree Princess Layla. But HD is saturated in my area and with the high costs I wasn't willing to risk it for that. The brand I have chosen is a premium brand and is not like shellac blue sky's knock off version of shellac. The brand I went for has its own recognition and I have more scope to develop that.

Like I said, I prefer to be different and a pioneer of something new. That's what our salon has been known for. Each to their own and we all know or should know what our clients want and need. Just think that people should research all the brands and all the fees to weigh up what would be suitable to them. Xx
