Hello

I have just received my new Kit from college and today i wanted to practice on my dummy head, i need to learn how to part each hair section on the head and i have been told there are about seven sections.

Can anyone help me with a diagram on how this is done, do each head section have a specific name?

Thankyou

The standard seven sections: left side, top, right side, left crown, right crown, left nape and right nape.
HTH :)

hiya, did u get a level 2 book? They usually have pretty good diagrams in. Hth xx

Hello, thankyou both for your replies

I'm still looking around for the Level 2 book, someone on my course has a friend that might be interested in selling her's but i've been told these books don't come cheaply.

go on google books n do a search for level 2 hairdressing books, it lets u look through the books on ther for free, and may be useful until u can get hold of a book. xx

Or try ebay hunny, I got a few training books cheaply on there xx

Is your course going well, they don't seem very well organised if they don't give you handouts or have the nvq2 book in the college library?
Did they just tell you there were 7 cutting sections and not where they were?
I'd complain to the course leader if they aren't teaching you properly.:)

Hi there

I think i get a head of my teacher sometimes and ask about more advanced techniques on doing things but i'm just a beginner, but i have noticed some people saying in my class that our teacher does not explain things very well.

Tbh i think he should spend abit more time with each student and explain what needs to be done, his demo's are shown good but not when we do it as practical on our dummy heads.

But other wise i'am enjoying the course, i forgot to add that this is just a beginners course and not the VRQ Levels.
