Hi everyone, i'm new to this forum but can see that it is really useful when wanting advice!! Not sure how to seach for a thread on a particular topic, so hope its ok to post a new one :)

I have Virgin remy hair extensions wefts in at the moment, 14" and they have a natural curl (the last hair I had were straight so finding it a bit more of an effort to style these ones!) I like to wear my hair straight so straighten them alot but have found that their not as soft and silky as I would like.

Firstly, I'm looking for a good heat protetion spray. Ive tried lots of different ones that you can just buy from Boots (Toni and Guy, Lee Stafford, Tresemme, Aussie miracle) and although their OK, I don't feel they really protect my hair that well and feels like a lot of them just wet your hair and burns your hair more when you straighten. I don't mind spending a bit more for a good one, so if anyone has any suggestions I'd be happy to hear them!

Also, like I said my hair/extensions are not feeling as silky smooth and flowing as they did with the other hair I had before getting new wefts. Can anyone suggest any products/shampoo+conditioner brand/treatments i can buy for this?

Hope anyone can help! x

After reading a few threads on here, I've just ordered the Luxury Lush US Extensions Aftercare package... just wondered what people's thoughts are on this?? There is a heat protection spray and protein spray etc in there, so hopefully this will do the job!?

I've been told that if you want a good heat protector, then go for the same brand that makes the heated appliances - like ghd. If ghd wants its customers to keep their hair, then it will create a good heat protector. My salon uses fudge heat protecting mousse and I've found it works a treat. It protects hair up to 200 degree celsius :D
