Help and advice with Chair Rental xx

Hi, I own a hairdressing salon in Bristol.. we currently have employed stylists, but would also like to branch out with Chair Rental.

I would like some guidance with a few things please from Salons that rent out chairs or someone that is renting a chair!

Looking for advice for the following information to help with this:

• Daily/weekly cost of chair.
• % of takings/earnings that the salon would take from the stylist.
• Cost of the stylist using your products. Such as Colour and peroxides, and styling products.
• Would you offer commission if they sold any retail products, if so.. how much?
• Holidays - do they have holiday entitlement like an employee would?

Anything I’ve missed please let me know, your help would be greatly appreciated!!

How much do you want to earn for each work station?

Usual therapist rent the area on a weekly or monthly amount.

Bookings, how many days, hours and clients are their responsibility.

Or you take a percentage of their takings for an agreed amount of time [3 months +] until they are established.
This gives you a chance to work out how much the space is worth.

It really depends on how experienced the therapist is and are they bringing in their own clients or developing a business.
