Hello there! I am in great need of some professional advice! I have recntly dyed my hair from blonde to very dark brown. I had a consultation for racoon extensions and they ordered my hair but when it came back it appeared it was a lot darker than my own hair and they further darkened my own hair. The colour has now started to fade out of my natural hair so there is now a '2 tone' colour to my hair with my extensions being considerably darker. Is there anyway to lighten these extensions? I don't want them blonde or anythin, just a lighter shade of brown as I'm not sure the darker shade really suits me. They are human hair. Any advice welcome!!!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you cannot lighten extended hair. A poor colour match in the first place. :( Maybe get your natural hair recoloured?

if you're planning on keeping them in you could get you salon to order a bundle of lighter hair to mix in when you get them rotated... you should always dye your hair the colour you want it before going for a consultation+then re-dye it the same colour just before getting your extensions in. there should NOT of been a big colour variation in the start..your salon should of colour matched your hair better or ordered different colour bundles to mix together.
you extensions are guaranteed by racoon...so phone them direct if you're not happy.

Thank you for the help guys! I think I might see if they can blend with some lighter hair. Probably my own fault, should have said something when they arrived so dark before they put them in! Thanks again for the advice :)
