Hello!!
I have killed my hair with too much heat! I curl it everyday with curling longs and straighten the ends with my straighteners! I know its very very naughty. It is very very damaged as a result and just breaks off! I need to sort this problem out as i dye my hair red and the colour is just not looking good on the damaged areas. I am going to start wearing my hair up more to prevent using so much heat. I always use a heat protector and use moroccan oil religiously. I'm not a hairdresser and was wondering if anyone could recommend and tips or products that could get my hair back to a healthy condition?

Ok, first things first: STOP with the heat tools! please, or it wont get any better.
You first need to get a really good hair cut and remove the ends to stop any further breaking.

Second thing is to stop colouring it for at least a month. Let your roots grow out, and when you do apply the colour only do your roots, not the whole head. Or better yet go to a salon for it doing.

You need to reconstruct the hair cortex as this will stop the breakage and stop it feeling dry and frizzy, so I recommend
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nioxin-Intensive-Therapy-Weightless-Reconstructive/dp/B0013902ZK the Nioxin treatment, I’ve used this myself and it is amazing!

Third thing is to get a good quality shampoo and conditioner, so I recommend the Wella System Professionals range (its salon exclusive) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wella-SP-Color-Shampoo-250ml/dp/B0039NSFMA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1332426613&sr=8-1
and the conditioner http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wella-SP-Color-Conditioner-200ml/dp/B0039NSI6S/ref=pd_sim_d_2.

Please don’t think I’m trying to get you to buy products left, right and centre because I’m not, but the more you pay the better quality, and these products should last you at least 6 months! at least.

Fourth thing is to get a good heat protectant, so I recommend the Wella Thermal Image http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wella-Thermal-Image-Protection-Spray/dp/B004JUR4AG/ref=sr_1_1?s=drugstore&ie=UTF8&qid=1332426745&sr=1-1

And fifth thing is to, again lay off the heat, also don’t keep your hair up all the time, as this will lead to split ends in no time. I would suggest having a wash and blow-dry professionally once a week, and you can touch it up during the week.
