A friend of a friend has just done my hair today. It was done last week from light brown to blonde but was still a bit warm and brassy in streaks and not as blonde as I wanted so yesterday she came round and tried to lighten it more but my roots and bits of my hair were White blonde but there was still a lot of deffinate orange bits.
Then she redid it this morning using bleach and 40vol for about 40mins.

But as I washed it there was hair on my hands and towel! And it's a bit snappy.

So at the moment I have put a conditioning treatment in and a shower cap and keeping it on as long as possible!

My friend who recommended here said that the hairdresser had got her hair platinum blonde and she was happy with hers but then went on to say that it was breaking tho so she's had to have her hair cut short (she could have mentioned this before or I wouldn't have let her do soo much in one week!!) I don't think I would suit short hair at all!

What should I use to save my hair?!

I hope it's not as bad as I think it is because u have not dried it yet!

I know I have been stupid now but not at the time I don't know anything about doiing hair!!

:-S xXx

My first advice would be do not blow dry your hair - leave treatment on for as long as possible and leave to dry naturally - tomorrow ring the stylist and tell her what as happened and see what she says - what she should do is come back to you, look at your hair and do a protein treatment and if it needs it offer a course of treatments to get your hair back to good condition - she should be helpful, interested and willing to consider that your hair is not right and make good. If she is not interested go to a reputable salon and get a second opinion and take some photos of your hair damage, then take it from there, hopefully she will try to sort it out.

I hope it is not as bad as it sounds, good luck. x

OMG your poor hair! she has done totally the wrong thing! If parts of your hair still needed lifting after the first application she should have used 20vol MAX!!!!!!!!!!! Then toned it all to give u a nice even colour! I'm sorry to say but what she has done is irreversible! Yes protein treatments and deep conditioning treatments will help the remaining hair, but your gonna have to be really careful with combing, brushing, no heat and definatley No straighteners!

No I didn't blow dry it or anything she just shampooed me n left' she is in salon mostly so does not have amy conditioning treatments!
It was me who decided to put a conditioning treatment on my hair not her! And I left it for 2hrs I have osmos deep conditioning treatment to!

I'm kind of scared when I run my hands through my hair some comes away!!! not big strands but broke off bits!! X

This happened to me in high school. I tried lightening my hair at home after having it at a 1 for years. I did it 5 times in one day. And then went to the salon and had to get it fixed. It still all broke off and I had to cut it very short.

She made a huge mistake! The only thing I can recommend it protein treatments BUT doing them too much will make it worse. Don't pull on your hair. Sleep with a loose bun and be super gentle. You may need to get it cut to prevent more breakage.

Agree with everything people have said on here - you need to treat your hair like fine lace! Gently and no heat!

A really good protein treatment is Joico Kpak reconstructor, i really rate it for bleached hair x
