I have been wanting to train in nails for along time now, I am just wanting to know how you all trained to do nails or where you trained to do them? To give me an idea of where I can start, I also have a full time job so full time courses are not practical for me

I trained in college then i recently decided to get back into beauty so i retrained in shellac nails at a beauty school in my local area. You can do nail courses in places like salon services, Capital or your local college. I would do a google search of whats in your area. All the best x

I went to Continental School of Beauty. I also worked full time, M-F 8-430, during my training which was part time mon-thurs 545pm-10pm. It was exhausting but was only 4 months long. I kept telling myself, the time will pass anyways. Now I'm done and in a salon and loving it. Best thing I ever did for myself. Taking a little pay cut (for now because i'm fresh out of school) but I'm happier in life so it's been worth it for me.

I did manicure and pedicure at night school at college when I first started out, then trained separately to do nail extensions with fibreglass overlays (it was a long time ago!). Over the years I have done short conversion courses in acrylic and gel, but last year I went back to college to do level 3 beauty and nail enhancements were included on the course so I got to do it all over again, which was great as we spent 5 hours a week for an academic year practicing on each other and paying clients with a tutor on hand for advice. my course was during the day, but my college also did evening classes so might be worth checking with your local college.

I went to college in the evenings :)

I did my training with INK London, both in gel polish and acrylic. The courses are approved by the Guild and I found them really good courses. Plus your educator is always around even after you've finished, to help out with any issues :)
