Hi all I qualified in May this year and I have a 6 week check/maintenance due on a client, what should I be doing. Is it just a check to make sure theres no matting damage etc or should I be removing and placing back near the root? Or do I just leave them in the same place until re fit at 12 weeks? Any help tips would be greatful. Only I was told to charge around £30 for maintenance but if im having tonremobe all nano rings will take a good few hours.

Hi,

I use to offer just maintenance which involved pushing up and refitting any that had fallen out, but I seriously found clients taking the mick! they would remove some there self and expect me to put them in at maintenance price (£45) so now I say to all clients to have a complete refit every 6-8 weeks and charge £85 for a full head and £65 for a half.

With full heads I remove them at their home the night before fitting so they can wash there hair after (they love this so they can have a good scrub lol)

and then they come to me the next day for there appointments so it only takes 2/3 hours max. x

Maintenance is just checking and fixing what they already have in. A refit ( new rings up to the root again) involves removing and reinstalling and is only really needed after the 3 month mark in my opinion. At maintenance I put back any that have fallen out, give all the others a good squeeze to make sure they are secure and fix any that may have slipped or thinned out at the root due to shedding. Hope this helps!
