Help! No idea where to start!

Hi, I'm 21 and currently work in retail. I want a total change in career and have always had a passion for nails, whether it be doing my own or friends.
I really have no idea how to go about getting qualified as a technician. Who do I talk to? Where do I go?
ANY information would be a great help.
I live in Essex so anybody with information local to me would be a bonus!

Fingers crossed I can do this, i'm really determined!

Hiya. Best place to start is with a proper qualification, dont do 'one day' or short course, it wont equip you with the knowledge and skills you need. You will also be able to get insurance with a recognised qualification. South essex college do a nail services nvq?call them for starters get more info, if that doesnt suit, talk to other colleges in your area, see what they offer.
