Hi, I have recently qualified to preform facials, however during my course I experienced some technical difficulties when using the products! When having a facial using strictly professional sensitive skin, I had minor reactions to the cleanser, toner and exfoliant, but a major one to the moisteriser. When performing a facial by the end I had large blisters forming over the backs of my hands.

Does anyone have an idea of what products I could use, obviously I would like to offer products for various sking types to suit my clients but I'm not sure how long I could take that type of abuse on my hands. It has taken 4 days for the blisters to go down.
I have tried strictly professional and dermalogica so far and have had reactions to both.
TIA

You really need to try and find out what you are allergic to. You'll need to speak to your doctor. Are there any ingredients common to all the products you've tried? Something like MI - methylisothiazolinone which is a common allergen,or sodium lauryl sulphate, usually found in anything foaming?

It could be something like lavender or oil derivatives. It could be anything There has been a recent thread about it.

Good luck

You need to see a dermatologist to have allergy testing for this as like Vic has said it could be something like lavender oil etc. Once you know you will be able to avoid products containing these ingredients x
