You lucky thing. I don't have anyone near me apart from my competitors!

You'd be surprised, we have a thread on here about volunteering as models for each other, cant remember what it's called  or you could start a thread called Want to swap? Its a problem a lot of us have, not just for tanning but all services.

Thanks Susie

I might try that!

I have heard of people doing like gift bags for people at tanning parties.

A friend of mine offers buffing mits (you can buy them from Morrisons for 79p)

And I know some people give the host a bottle of bubbly, I like this idea.

I was thinking of offering all attendees £5 off their next spray tan or maybe just giving the host a gift such as a few sachet samples and buffing mit etc.

What does everyone else do. I am yet to do a party and find out what works best. I have one on the 4th July.

I'm not really sure what to do but would like to do something as a party is a great way of making money and spreading the word around about your business. I do give the host a free tan and her guests a discount and not sure if this is enough or not. I don't want to come across as tight.

Hi Jackie, Im new to spraying but what i've decided to do is buy 10 black towels (ikea £1.50 each), underneath i put a rubber non slip drawer liner mat, each client gets a fresh towel so no couch roll needed, plus no accidental smudges feet from the gun blowing the couch roll over the feet. Take all the towels home in a bin liner and bung them in the washing machine. :) xxxxx

Thanks Jackie, that is a really good idea. When they stand on the towel though do they shuffle round so their feet don't move off the towel. as if there is overspray on the towel and they lift their feet to a different position to move round would they not then get overspray on the soles of their feet.

Hi Jackie,
sorry to take so long in replying. I dont worry, re: shuffling, i've not had anyone say that their soles of the feet have gone orange, i do try to spray dry and pretty close to the body though. Mayb if Kylieb sees this reply she'll let us know as i sprayed her recently. :)

I did a party a month ago. I always ask for a minimum of 5 people plus the host and then the host gets their tan free if there is less than 5 ppl plus the host the host has to pay.
Then my tan's normally cost £20 in salon, but at the party I charge £15 each so 5 people = £75. then I also give the host a voucher and some sachet samples of the Sienna products.
I also take some retail products and tell them what they're all for and then leave it up to them without any hard selling to them.
I also give everybody I've not seen before a price list and a 10% discount voucher too. That way I hope they come back.
