I am a complete novice and really need some help!! I have just invested in the Cuccio Nail system...Pronto UV soak off gel. Trouble is when I do my nails, they look good but after about 4 hours start peeling off...I just don't know where I am going wrong as I have followed the instructions to the letter so why won't they stick???!!! Any advice greatly appreciated.,..starteing to worry I have completely wasted my money

Hi babe think you tend to use cuccio at college really. Try bio sculpture clear uv gel its great and wont lift.

When you say you have invested in this system, does this mean you
have been trained in this system and bought the kit?
Have you any training in UV Gels as your profile does not have this information.

It might not be you, I tried cucchio (and many other brands) and really didn't like it, I binned it after three clients, the tips split within days - which hasn't happened with any other brand, so maybe you should think about trying other brands, we all find what suits us and our clients in the end and it's a lot of trial and error. Good luck :)

angiepange, sorry but I can't help but notice you also have not put in your profile that you are a nail professional. Have you trained in the use of UV gels, and Cuccio gel in particular?
If not...then it is best left to the nail professionals to answer, once we know if the OP is qualified.

Apologies if indeed you are, and it would be helpful if you updated your profile.

Hi Girls,

Thanks for all your replies. To be completely honest, no I am not trained, I am a solicitor by profession but always had my nails done and thought I would invest in a kit and try it myself!! Hope this doesn't offend any of you true professionals, its just that I am on Maternity leave at the min so wanted to try and save a bit of money.....

Like I said, in general I am actually really pleased with how the nails look its just the lifting issue. Just not sure where I am going wrong!!

This is a professional forum, because of this the only advice we can/should give you as a non-professional is to train in the sytem if you want to use it.

I'm sure you understand that we have paid lots & lots to train and learn our trade if we go telling everyone what we know we won't have a job.

Aswell as doing ourselves out of a job we would be putting peoples health at risk as there are things you learn on courses that you just need to know before you go messing about with products - like the health issues that stop or change how you would do the service and the health issues that could happen as a result of the service.

Please don't take this the wrong way but you have found out the hard way that what we do looks easy - but it isn't.

To get a good, long lasting gel manicure you need to book into a salon and get it applied by a qualified technician who knows what they are doing or train in the system you want to use so that you are 100% aware of all you should be to use the products.

Very eloquently put Baggybear, and now as the question has been asked and politely answered I shall close this thread.
