hi, here i am again, i'm slowly learning about l'oreal after being trained with wella so bear with me pls! I'm colouring clients hair tomorrow, she has white re-growth of an inch, i normally use a 3.0 on her hair as she naturally very dark but has lots of natural warmth/red through anyway. This time she wants to go a little warmer/redder/mahogany. I have majirel 4.3 and 4.45 & 6%, am i right in thinking i should put just the 4.3 on her roots? or both mixed together? also what if i put a few foils through the top with 9% would this work? ie is it worth doing for any kind of results? i know tint wont lift tint, but i didnt want to use bleach to life them if i could help it as want to keep hair in great condition, as it is currently lovely, really shiny, any help most appreciated thanks!! xxx

I'm a bit confused. She has white regrowth but is naturally dark and warm. How much white does she have? What is her base shade?

Putting 4. on top of 3. won't make it lighter.

Mix the 4.3 with the 4.45 for the roots, then remix just the 4.45 for the midlengths and ends. Strictly speaking you should do a gentle bleach bath first, but really you would just about get away with this. Personally I would add a little base 4 into the root mix too if the regrowth is very white and hard to colour. x

Yes 4.3 on roots is correct, I do this on some occasions and it turns out fine. :) then carry on with the 4.45
