I've over-straightened my hair for about 10 years, and as a result the ends of my hair just split and die and are dry and nasty!

I'd like to stop using straighteners and leave my hair to grow so that I dont have to keep having bonded hair extensions applied (had them for 2.5 years now and theyre driving me mad) but without straightening my hair is just a frizzy mess. And it's very thin (both in texture and in quantity - lack of quantity being another reason for extensions).

Will a Brazilian blow dry help? I'm thinking that if I have it straightened professionally from now on and dont have to use straighteners, it will give the hair a chance to grow healthily? And I can just use clip in extensions until it has grown to a decent length.

Any thoughts?
Much appreciated!!
